Welcome to the site of the Thirteenth Battalion of Miami Dade Fire Rescue. Miami Dade Fire Rescue’s Battalion 13 is the largest and most unique territories in all of Dade County. It consists of five Fire Stations that house 2 ALS Engine Companies, an ALS Haz-mat Engine, and a 60’ ALS Aerial Truck, 5 ALS Rescue Trucks, and a Battalion Chief (Battalion 13). It protects the unincorporated areas otherwise known as Kendall, Hammocks, West Bird, West Sunset, and West Kendall which houses well over 200,000 people according to the 2000 Census Report.
