Miami-Dade County Firehouse 57 (West Kendall Station) dedicated on May 1, 2002, is located at 8501 SW 127 Avenue. Station 57 house a single company rescue and the Battalion 13 Firechief. Station 57's response area borders all four of the other Battalion 13 territories and Rescue 57 routinely transport patients for the four Battalion 13 suppressions. The territory consists of a combination of single-family residences, apartment complexes, strip malls, assisted living facilities, and public schools. The northern portion of the territory is known as "Horse Country" and consists of some of the largest homes in the battalion.
